Description
The Városliget Main Playground is one of Budapest's largest and most modern playgrounds, opened in October 2019 in the southeastern part of City Park. Covering an area of 13,000 square meters, it features over 50 different play elements tailored to various age groups. The playground is divided into three main sections: a play area for children aged 0–6, a sandy and water play area for ages 2–12, and a section designed for children aged 6–14. The central attraction is a three-story climbing frame inspired by Pál Szinyei Merse's painting "Balloon." The playground includes various slides, swings, spinning toys, trampolines, sandboxes, and water games. Special attention was given to inclusivity, allowing children with and without disabilities to play together on integrated play equipment. Parents can enjoy rest areas, smart benches, and restrooms, while animators ensure children's safety. The playground is open daily from 8:30 AM until dusk. It is accessible through five entrances and is enclosed by a 1.5-meter-high fence. The Városliget Main Playground offers entertainment not only for children but for the entire family.
